What will you do for World Hepatitis Day?
Posted by admin under health
You might have heard of Hepatitis in the news or by word of mouth, but do you really know what it is? If you don’t, then you are among the audience which the World Hepatitis Alliance is targeting, in order to raise awareness of Hepatitis and how to avoid catching or spreading it.
The President of the World Hepatitis Alliance, Charles Gore, has founded the ‘Am I Number 12?’ 2008 campaign which is intended to make people of all ages and walks of life wonder if they are the unlucky one in twelve that is suffering with Hepatitis in the world today.
So what could you do to help on May 19th? Well the first thing to do is to sign up to the campaign at www.aminumber12.org before the day arrives. The WHA needs as many names as it can on the register to show Health Organisations that more must be done to both educate people about Hepatitis and treat people who have contracted it. The second thing you could do to help is to make your friends and family aware of the campaign…it’s all about spreading the word of battling Hepatitis, so we can stop spreading the disease!
